Welcome to Feegle Rats!

Feegle is an NFRS registered stud based in Edinburgh, Scotland run by me, Fiona.  I am currently working on capped and variegated in black and Russian blue, with a side project of an unusual black based colouring.  My aim is to produce rats that are happy, healthy and friendly so that they are exceptional pets as well as suitable for showing.  I breed primarily to produce pet and show animals for myself, but will sometimes have kittens available for pet homing.

I started breeding in 2017 with Hawthorn Disreputable Dog, kindly given to me by toyah of Hawthorn Stud, and Hawthorn Soner, lent to me by toyah. In 2019 I earned my NFRS stud name with my lovely variegated doe Feegle Soot Sprite.

I am currently a member of the NFRS and NERS, regularly attending shows of both.  My "local" shows are the NFRS shows held in Rutherglen, where I often act as show secretary.  I am also currently Show Secretary for NERS.  These clubs have provided me with a wealth of help, support and knowledge, and I would strongly encourage anyone interested in rats to join their nearest club.
